I think that either WordPress or Drupal will work for SEO. I prefer Drupal for a few reasons that I outlined in this post:
Advantages of Drupal
- URL control – the pathauto module combined with taxonomy gives you a lot more control over URL structure than you can get with WordPress.
- Taxonomy – more power than WP’s categories/tags
- Custom content types and Views – This is the killer combination that makes Drupal great.
- Power – Maybe later you will want more features like advanced user management, multiple blogs, custom content types, custom views, etc. If you build with Drupal you can start with a basic blog and add advanced features later.
